The Royal Australian Mint has produced a new range of coins specially made and marketed for the 2011 Australasian Numismatic Dealers Association (ANDA) Show. This exclusive series, Capital Bridges, will depict an iconic bridge from each hosting state.

 

The fourth coin in the series features the Sydney Pyrmont Bridge which opened in 1902 and is the world's oldest surviving electrically operated swingspan bridge. The bridge at Cockle Bay in Sydney's Darling Harbour is now closed to vehicles and is now a pedestrian bridge and also carries a monorail.
